Air Set Adhesives

These are used for sealing, coating and encapsulation applications. They are single component silicates with silica, alumina or clay filler systems. Available in powder form to be mixed with water or as ready mixed paste where indicated. This product cures through evaporation of water in 18-24 hours at room temperature. Additional heat can be applied for high temperature applications.

Chemical Set Adhesives

For potting, bonding and casting thicker sections. These are available as single or two component products. The single component are phosphate based with zircon or alumina filler and can be mixed with water. The two part component grades are silicate based with silica or zircon filler to be combined with silicate liquid. Typically, these grades have a working time of 30-90 minutes.

Zircon Potting Cement X44
Primarily used where high electrical insulation and thermal conductivity are desired. X44 cures by chemical set and is ideal for potting applications subject to high temperature and/or thermal shock.

Low Expansion Cement Powder #29
Low Expansion Cement Used for embedding heating elements, insulating thermocouples, coating resistors and coils, and mechanically sealing parts where high resistance to electricity, chemicals and thermal shock is required. A strong resistance to cryogenic conditions makes #29 a common product for aerospace applications. #29 adheres to glass, porcelain, ceramics, metals and other surfaces.

Electrical Cement DW30
An inorganic, chemically setting, magnesium oxide based material which develops a slight expansion while hardening into a porcelain like body. It is recommended for embedding heating elements and potting resistors.

An inorganic, non-halogen, chemically setting material. Can be applied in thicker sections without deformation. Ideal for bonding ceramics, glass and most metals. Full strength is obtained following heat cure at 65C.

Hydraulic Setting

A single component product used for calcium aluminate applications. Curing takes place in a humid environment through hydration with a controlled dry out final stage.

Electrical Potting Cement #76
A castable, hydraulically-setting cement used as a bonding mortar or refractory coating for high temperature assembling, encapsulating and potting applications.
